Grammar checker

These days I was thinking of stopping using grammar checker.

Writing skill is gained by practicing. We should make a lot of mistakes and face challenges of expressing our ideas when we are learning a language.

Is it really necessary to use grammar checker when we are writing ?

I guess it’s not. Why not keep the originality of my own writings. After polishments of this writings some of them even couldn’t pass the AI detection. I always copy and paste my writing and wait for the result, it will make me be lazier. I don’t need to pursuit perfectism, I and typo is totally fine.

Comment system

I also found some bloggers closed their comment system. After digging it I gradually know that one of the important reason is that our site are our own safe corners to share our own ideas instead of places for communication which will cost a lot of energies. They don’t think it’s necessary to maintain it and they can focus on create their own contents.

Another problem is that comment system is a part outside of our own static site and our own creation. It’s really possible to break down if we don’t take care of it properly. We could still lost all of the data.

Should I spent so much time on maintaining the comment system to imatate the way of interaction like social media platform? I don’t think it’s so that necessary. But I still welcome friends to communicate with me and express their own mind here freely.

Images and plain text

I’m always thinking where to save my images… But finally I think Saving a lot of images or photos can be unnecessary for me. They will occupy a lot of spaces.

Nowadays People are encouraged to post photos and videos by platform because it can improve the interactions and stickiness for this platforms such as TikTok Facebook and Instagram. If I really want to save them for decades, I don’t know where can I save so many photos and videos (especially current cloud file storage are very small.) Instead, the form of plain text are very stable and durable in the long run. By just writing, I can just upload them on my site freely and I don’t need to worry about where to save them.
