I felt really sorrowful. I realized that I hurted a lot of people. Just like Y hurted me.

I wanted to apologize.

Started two weeks ago, my Facebook account has been suspended for three times. For the first time, I’ve experienced the situation that no one could find my name and message me on this disgusting platform and all of contents of the account are not visible.

Facebook said that I violated their policy but they didn’t tell any clear reason. I think that all of my activities on it are normal. Maybe it’s just because of a virtual number related to this account? Or I didn’t interact on it actively so they think that this is a fake account?

I was required to show my face and take the photo of my ID again and again. The recent result of their review is that they couldn’t confirm my identity because of unclear photos and I only ramained one opportunity to submit. If the review fails again, my account will be totally deleted.

I imagined that when someone’s account was removed permenatently, all of personal data and chatting history on the Messenger was removed. It was similar with that this person hasn’t be alive in this world. All of his memories, all of his history was deleted just because of unreasonable policies of this platform.

Because of the character of social media platforms, Facebook only encourage people to share newest moments intentionally just for improving interactions. History can be insignificant and it was disappearing… There are still billions of people using this kind of platforms though their memories and histories are not controlled by themselves.

Where to save your memories online and let them be visitable? There was an article

These days I was thinking of stopping using grammar checker.

Writing skill is gained by practicing. We should make a lot of mistakes and face challenges of expressing our ideas when we are learning a language.

Is it really necessary to use grammar checker when we are writing ?

I guess it’s not. Why not keep the originality of my own writings. After polishments of this writings some of them even couldn’t pass the AI detection. I always copy and paste my writing and wait for the result, it will make me be lazier. I don’t need to pursuit perfectism, I and typo is totally fine.

I also found some bloggers closed their comment system. After digging it I gradually know that one of the important reason is that our site are our own safe corners to share our own ideas instead of places for communication which will cost a lot of energies. They don’t think it’s necessary to maintain it and they can focus on create their own contents.

Another problem is that comment system is a part outside of our own static site and our own creation. It’s really possible to break down if we don’t take care of it properly. We could still lost all of the data.

Nowadays People are encouraged to post photos and videos by platform because it can improve the interactions and stickiness for this platforms such as TikTok Facebook and Instagram. If I really want to save them for decades, I don’t know where can I save so many photos and videos (especially current cloud file storage are very small.) Instead, the form of plain text are very stable and durable in the long run. By just writing, I can just upload them on my site freely and I don’t need to worry about where to save them.

A lot of content has been generated by AI since 2022. There are even many AI-generated videos, and some TV series are being created with AI instead of being produced by human actors. This is not only happening with written content.

AI already seems to be integrated into modern life, just like the Internet. I have found that AI has really improved my efficiency, and now I can realize some features of my site very easily.

But AI still has its limitations. Its ability to recognize handwriting is still not satisfying. When I wanted to digitize my journals, I found that it could not recognize my handwriting if it was a little cursive, and there were many errors. AI also could not recognize my seal script effectively. So currently, I can only type all of my journals manually.

But the problem is that AI seems able to replace our own thinking. I found that I am gradually getting used to chatting with AI instead of writing down my own thoughts.

If I have any questions or problems, I directly ask AI to help me solve them, even before I start thinking by myself. Sometimes I think I am too eager to solve a problem or get a satisfying answer for myself, and then I become immersed in endless information instead of taking action. My brain becomes full of related information, and I cannot deal with it properly. We are giving the responsibility of making decisions to AI.

On the contrary, writing by myself is a good way of thinking. It is a very important process for our brain, instead of letting AI replace our own thinking. When we face some problems or have some ideas, it is better to think about them independently and write them down first.

In fact, I have found that many questions in our lives are not so urgent, and the quality of many questions is not very high. If I think about them more deeply, I can gradually find out what is more important in my life.

I added a Not-by-AI badge to the posts on my site.

I can use this site as a showcase and as a space to practice my independent thinking.

Writing can be done freely, without influence from the outside world and without any suggestions for improvement. Maybe there will be many flaws in my writing, but it is still valuable to me because it comes from me, the real me.

We can even cherish it, because there will be less and less content created by real humans in the future.

This site can be a safe corner for my pure and original mind.

       · Current page

Recently, many graduates have been booing speakers when they mention AI or express optimism about the future of AI.

I always worry about the durability of images. When I export backups of my writings, the file size becomes very large.

Now I have even stopped inserting images into my journals, and I may focus on writing pure text posts in the future.

The Chinese pages had been using KingHwa OldSong through an external CDN. In theory this was convenient, but in practice it was fragile. If the CDN was blocked, slow, changed domains, or returned an error, the browser would fall back to a system font. That made the site look different from what I intended.

Now the site hosts the sliced
.woff2
font files locally. This does not mean every visitor has to download the whole font at once. The font is split into many small files, and the browser only loads the pieces needed for the characters on the current page. It costs more repository space, but it makes the site more stable and predictable. I also enabled the same font for other languages.

I also optimized the word-counting method. Hugo’s built-in
.WordCount
is useful for English, but it is not precise enough for Chinese. The new logic counts CJK characters as individual characters, counts Latin words and numbers as word tokens, and combines both for mixed-language posts. This unified method is now used by post metadata, archive totals, the heatmap, and structured data.

These changes are not very visible as features, but they make the site feel more like a carefully maintained personal space. Typography and counting rules are small details, yet they affect the experience of reading and reviewing my own writing over time.

I stand here today to share with you God’s work in my life and to welcome my future baptism.

Before believing in the Lord, I relied on worldly things to sustain my life. Whether it was playing, studying, or working, these things seemed to fill my time, but they couldn’t fill my heart. I often pondered the meaning of life, but the meaning constantly shifted and fluctuated with circumstances and successes and failures.

I admit that I was weak in the past. As a child, I was inherently weak. Growing up, my parents were my support; I needed to rely on my family. However, my family couldn’t solve all my life’s problems. As I grew older, I gradually understood that family members are not omnipotent; they also have their own weaknesses and difficulties. Whenever life presented challenges, I could only rely on my own will to face them, but relying solely on myself wasn’t enough; I didn’t know how to rely on others.

I also admit that I was empty and anxious in the past. My life was filled with trivial matters; I was pushed along by the expectations of others and external information, often numbing myself with fleeting pleasures, but in the quiet of the night, the emptiness would return. Like a small boat adrift on the waves, I didn’t know where to sail. My life was filled with pleasure and selfish desires. The more I tried to control, the less I realized I could; the more I tried to prove myself, the less peace I found within.

In the past, I was arrogant. I thought I understood many principles. I loved to argue, wanting to prove myself right by winning. I believed that hard work could change my destiny, so I attributed glory to myself and failure to others. I thought everything I had was earned by myself. I refused to admit my sins and was unwilling to repent.

Eight years ago, one day, I was eating in the school cafeteria when someone sat next to me and chatted with me. He shared God’s word with me and gave me a copy of the Bible. I didn’t quite understand it at the time, and I didn’t immediately change, but that moment was like a seed planted in my heart. Later, on confused nights, I occasionally opened that Bible, but I still couldn’t understand it. Now I know that the Lord had already paved the way in my heart; I just didn’t know Him then.

Time flies, and under the Lord’s guidance, I arrived in a foreign land. In March 2025, I happened to meet some students sharing the gospel. Their faith, joy, and sincerity touched me. They were willing to spend time listening to me and invited me to their meetings. Over three days, I heard the gospel more clearly for the first time there. I received my first King James Version Bible.

A brother led me in Bible reading and prayer. He told me that he used to think he would definitely go to heaven and be saved, that he needed to serve, have good character, and help others. He thought this would move God. But he later understood that no one can be righteous on their own. Even if we have some obedience and good deeds, without true faith, we still cannot be saved. Conversely, even if we have sinned, as long as we repent and turn to the Lord, the Lord will forgive us, because as long as we return to the Lord’s side, we can be forgiven, and our sins can be forgiven.

After the meeting, he asked me, “Do you now believe that Jesus Christ is your Savior?” I answered that I did. He then asked me, “Do you believe that you will have eternal life?” I answered that I believe, and through the salvation of Jesus Christ, I have the hope of eternal life. At that moment, I knew I had left the path of self-centeredness and truly submitted to and trusted in the Lord.

From that moment on, I knew I had become a true believer. Even after believing, I still experience weakness, but I begin to experience the Lord’s true renewal.

After accepting the Gospel, I felt a peace I had never known before, like a child finally finding their home. I felt joy because I no longer relied on myself, but on the Lord’s grace and upliftment. The Lord could give me strength; I no longer felt weak. I only needed to obey and rely on the Lord. The Lord gave me direction; the path ahead of me was paved by the Lord. My goal was no longer for myself, but to glorify the Lord. I could face the difficulties ahead with equanimity. Confusion and anxiety no longer dominated me. The Lord humbled me; I no longer felt proud. I knew that my life did not appear by chance from the dust; everything in my life was the Lord’s creation and gift. I no longer attributed everything to myself, and I learned to seek harmony rather than competition in relationships. In the past, I tried to bear pressure alone or escape it through various means; now, I am willing to stop and pour out my heart to the Lord, asking Him to illuminate the sin within me and give me a repentant heart.

Today, I stand here to receive baptism, a sign of my public confession and commitment to following the Lord. It is because I am willing to publicly acknowledge that I belong to Jesus Christ and to die and rise again with Him. Baptism is not the end, but the beginning of obedience.

May the Lord help me to frequently read the Bible and pray in my future life, to continually repent, to learn holiness, to be honest in my work, gentle in my relationships, and willing to sacrifice myself and take responsibility in my future family. I also ask brothers and sisters to pray for me, that I may hold fast to the Lord in my weakness until the day I see His face.

Thank you for listening. May all glory be to God.

The new commenting system, Waline, supports reactions and comes with a clean, elegant interface. I also added floating buttons at the bottom of each page—a table of contents button and a comment button—so visitors can quickly jump to the sections they want.

<del>If articles on different language websites have similar content, the comment sections will be merged together.</del>

In addition, I updated the word-counting feature on the archive page. It now counts both the total number of articles and the total word count across the site.

I also found a better way to write and update articles on my phone. I initially wanted to use GitJournal, but it modifies the front matter, which caused my site builds to fail. Then I installed Termux and pulling the entire repository. For editing files, I use Markor, a lightweight offline Markdown editor. It’s simple, reliable, and much more convenient for mobile writing going forward.

There are still features I’d like to implement—such as automatically publishing my posts to other platforms—but this has proven to be surprisingly difficult. I tried many approaches, but none worked well enough.

In the end, this process feels a lot like decorating my own small space. And I genuinely enjoy it.

We haven’t met yet, or perhaps we have — quietly, without knowing what we might become.

In this generation, many no longer believe in first love, in waiting, in forever. I’ve often been told I’m too idealistic, too slow, too serious. But I know whom I’m waiting for: someone who believes, like I do, that love isn’t just a feeling — it’s a covenant.

Maybe you’re quiet too. Maybe you write more than you speak, pray more than you post. You may feel deeply, but share sparingly — because you treasure what’s real. Maybe you’ve chosen to wait, even when the world keeps telling you not to.

People sometimes ask me why I insist on waiting — why not just try, see what happens, and “learn from experience”?
But I believe the way we begin shapes everything that follows.
To give myself fully, for the first and only time, to someone who has also guarded her heart — that is not weakness, but strength.
I’m not afraid of loneliness. I’m afraid of giving pieces of my soul to places they don’t belong.

That’s why I’ve chosen to wait. Not out of fear, but out of hope.
Not because I idealize romance, but because I honor what love was meant to be: exclusive, holy, enduring.

If you were here, I would want to do the simple things with you — not the grand, but the real:
Mornings with prayer and Scripture, evenings cooking together,
Holding hands during silence instead of rushing to fill it,
Loving in quiet faithfulness when words run out.

I don’t expect you to be perfect.
In fact, what I long for is someone who’s honest about their fears,
someone whose gentleness doesn’t come from weakness but from understanding pain.

If you are the kind of person who notices things others miss —
the way light falls on a quiet street,
the mood behind a friend’s tired smile,
the unspoken meaning behind the words I never say —
then you may be closer to me than I think.

I don’t know when or where our paths will cross.
But when they do — and if you are the one I’ve been preparing for —
I will recognize you, not just with my eyes, but with a heart that has been trained to discern.
I won’t hesitate. I’ll pursue with clarity, and I will fight for the future we’re meant to build.

Until that day, I will keep growing, keep praying,
and keep becoming the kind of man who will be ready to love you well.

May God guard your heart — and mine —
until the day we begin this story together.

Lewis I’ve read after Mere Christianity. Though short, it took me several days to finish.

In heaven, everything is solid and real. The ghosts can’t handle this reality, mainly because of their own mindset. Hell starts from a tiny thought and grows when exposed to heaven’s truth. These thoughts can grow until they take over the soul, making the ghosts unable to bear heaven’s reality, forcing them back to Earth. This shows why no sin is truly small.

It’s interesting how murderers can live in heaven, while their victims sometimes can’t. Children can stay in heaven, while their overly attached mothers can’t. One spouse may find peace in heaven, while their deeply devoted partner cannot stay. The ghosts feel this is unfair and demand justice. But they don’t see that LORD’s fairness works differently from human fairness. His justice lies deeper than what we can understand.

Only by letting go of our ’lizard’ can we fully enjoy heaven. What’s amazing is that even this ’evil’ lizard can become a flying horse in heaven - our struggles can transform into strength. Our painful memories and past sins can become paths to salvation if we change how we think about them.

I enjoy Lewis’s writing because he uses imagination to share deep truths. Reading his words feels like floating in a dream while discovering profound ideas. His books have opened the door for me to Christianity.

The cost of entering someone’s heart doubles with age. At fifteen, a simple glance back can become a lifelong precious memory. At forty, even someone who manages both work and housework is just another part of life’s struggles. As children, playing in the dirt could create lifelong friendships, but as adults, today’s sworn brothers might stab you in the back tomorrow.

A person’s understanding of the world develops over time. Things that exist before maturity become fundamental truths, things that appear during maturity become one’s own, and things that come after maturity seem strange and alien. Everyone’s nostalgia is about their childhood and youth. You hear fifty-year-olds missing their fifteen-year-old sports field, but never hear hundred-year-olds missing their sixty-year-old nursing home. Though the time gap seems the same, the perception of the world is very different.

If you appear in someone’s life when they’re building their understanding of the world, you become part of their world, an important piece of their memories, a significant part of their life. Whenever they remember that time, they can’t avoid or forget you. The more involved you were, the bigger your place in their memories, and the more likely you are to touch their heart.

Also, people’s perception of time speeds up as they age. Three years in middle school feel long and meaningful, from cafeteria to playground, from classroom to campus, from bulletin boards to workbooks… there’s so much to remember. But three years at work pass in a blur - before you even know your coworkers, you’re already planning to change jobs or file labor complaints. Who has time to notice who might touch their heart?

A one-year-old baby is very different from a ten-year-old child, but a seventy-year-old and an eighty-year-old are just elderly people with no distinction. When people get older and lose their own uniqueness, how can they notice others’ special qualities?

The reason it’s harder to fall in love with age is that our understanding of the world becomes more complete and clear. We no longer need to fill in gaps. Except for League of Legends designers, no one likes to mess with a mature system. Once something is set, it’s set - those who come late are simply late.
People start like blank paper - a light stroke can leave a clear mark. But when their picture is already complete, you need much stronger strokes to leave your mark. Everyone has their own story and their own characters in that story, and you might not be in it.

Zhao Yun of Changshan fought bravely and loyally throughout his life, but his dedication still couldn’t compare to the brotherhood formed in the Peach Garden.

Cao Cao of Xuzhou gave his heart and trust to Guan Yu, but in the end, Guan Yu still left his position to find his sworn brother through many battles.

Did they do anything wrong?
No, they just came late.

I recalled an article by Hehe Wenwang from a long time ago, where I learned about the differences in Chinese character forms across four regions:

In printed fonts, Japanese fonts reference the Kangxi Dictionary font, retaining many traditional forms, but they have already diverged from traditional Chinese characters. Korean fonts, having abolished Hanja (Chinese characters), also retain the traditional Kangxi Dictionary forms. Current national standard fonts and Taiwanese logo fonts differ significantly from traditional forms.

I’ve been looking for an elegant, classic font. The Kangxi Dictionary font is the standard for traditional characters, and the Kangxi Dictionary font created by Li Xiangchen of Wenyue Technology is currently popular online. However, this font doesn’t have a complete character set and there’s a trend of overuse.

I was accidentally drawn to a font on Zhihu: Jinghua Lao Songti.

This font was created by Terry Wang and is based on the 61-1 font created by the Beijing Xinhua Typeface Factory in 1961.

What is 61-1 typeface:

“In the early days of the People’s Republic of China, all industries were literally in a state of ’everything waiting to be rebuilt,’ and the publishing industry also needed new typefaces to meet printing demands. In 1961, the Beijing Xinhua Typeface Factory organized the design of the 61-1 Song typeface. Later, they designed a traditional Chinese typeface with 6183 characters, mainly for printing the main text of ancient books.” "

This typeface was designed by the Beijing Xinhua Typeface Factory in 1961. It was adapted from the Japanese Tsukiji Meicho movable type and was used in the renowned Zhonghua Book Company’s Twenty-Four Histories, as well as various annotated ancient books and old textbooks. Before the adoption of new typefaces and the transition to phototypesetting and computer fonts in the 1980s, it was very familiar to Chinese people.

1975 edition of Reading the Comprehensive Mirror for Aid in Government

Selected Works of Mao Zedong (vertical edition)

*Terry Wang created a version based on this classic typeface." Jinghua Old Song Typeface. The author used AI to complete the Unicode basic character set, so there’s no worry about missing characters. It not only includes all basic Chinese characters, new and traditional character forms, but also Japanese and Korean character forms, all encoded simplified characters, and Vietnamese Nôm characters.

I tried this font and it feels great.

“The peach-shaped dots, goose-head hooks, and triangular shoulders are very characteristic of the Old Song typeface, more substantial and rounded than the most commonly used Song II typeface today… It’s closer to the present day than the Ming Dynasty typeface, so the layout is more neat and beautiful, less worn and rustic, and more elegant and formal. However, it hasn’t yet been standardized by new character forms; a hint of rebellion hidden beneath its serious exterior is quite wonderful.” Original article link: https://zhuanlan.zhihu.com/p/637491623

You should know: life and work not just hard.

I have added 18,000 cards in the English desk, making my English from slag to intermediate level where I can read English articles.
I also created other types of desks, related to my major and my interests.
The next steps are to improve my knowledge base of my major: create cards I should memorize, check my cards grammar and add some necessary pictures.
